In an effort to maintain our mission, GLOW is committed to the following policies and practices.

  • GLOW will produce objective, high-quality broadcast quality episodes about individual libraries.
  • GLOW episodes will support the intent to inform public opinion about the importance of libraries as cultural heritage institutions, and as bulwarks of contemporary society.
  • GLOW will distribute its episodes, gratis, to PBS television stations locally and nationally.
  • GLOW will post its episodes for streaming on its website, on prominent web-based video distribution sites and -for archival purposes – on the Internet Archive.
  • Funding for GLOW will be sought from corporate, philanthropic and individual contributors.
  • GLOW will consider and welcome joint applications with library associations. Please contact us directly if you are interested.
